Transforming Jail Ministries Staff

Stuart WarrenStuart Warren became Transforming Jail Ministry's second Director and CEO on July 1, 2017, succeeding Rev. Jack Marsh. Stuart has previously served in the Kentucky Office of Secretary of State, worked on numerous political campaigns in Kentucky, served as the Student Minister for Christian Student Fellowship at Eastern Kentucky University, and most recently as a researcher and adjunct instructor for the University of Cincinnati.

Stuart's interest in jail ministry came about as a result of losing his father who spent most of his life in and out of jail and prison. After his father's death, Stuart realized how little care is given to the incarcerated population and just how much they need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Stuart Warren is from Central Kentucky (Danville and Harrodsburg) and received his ordination from Pioneer Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, KY. Stuart is a 2010 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University (B.A., Political Science), a 2013 graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.A., Christian Education), and is currently finishing his Ph.D., Political Science at the University of Cincinnati.

You can read Stuart's blog here.

"I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel, so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ. And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear."  Philippians 1:12-14 (English Standard Version)
