Transforming Jail Ministries Staff

TJM CEO Jack Marsh was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio. He attended Taft High School (now Hamilton High), Taylor University (Upland, IN), and United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH). He was ordained in the United Methodist Church as a Deacon in 1976 and an Elder in 1980. Jack served at Centenary UMC, in Ripley, OH, Monfort Heights UMC (Associate), Cincinnati, OH, Manchester (OH) UMC, College Hill UMC, Cincinnati and Elizabethtown (OH) UMC. While serving with TJM, he is currently affiliated with Faith Community United Methodist Church in West Chester Ohio.
In 1988, Jack became the Associate Director for Justice Chaplaincies at the Council of Christian Communions of Greater Cincinnati. In 2007, Jack and a small group formed Transforming Jail Ministries with the intent of focusing on jails and helping to improve jail ministry. Jack's passions are building relationships and training. He teaches chaplaincy and listening skills. Jack has been married to Marcia for 32 years. They have one daughter, Jennifer and one dog, Peanut. This is a rare picture of him in a tie.

TJM Office Manager, Laurie Fergus, was born and raised in northeastern Ohio. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Administrative Technology from the University of Cincinnati. Her administrative background includes six years experience in the non-profit sector. Laurie brings to TJM experience in fundraising, events planning and community relations development.
Laurie lives in Maineville with her son and she has a daughter who’s married and lives in Hawaii. She’s a member of St. Margaret of York Church in Loveland and in her spare time she enjoys volunteering, running, golf and snow skiing.
